A very approachable introduction to data storage
Persistent data stores (from SQL databases to filesystems) lurk behind every Web application. Implementing them efficiently and flexibly is a bit of a challenge, and this book is an approachable introduction to the factors involved and design techniques as well as a library of present-day data structure implementations - anything from the simple stacks and queues up to N-dimensional grid indexes.

I don't think it's in print any more - I picked mine up at Skoob Books.
