obviously I have to recommend this!
Surprisingly (in some people's minds) actually a very good book. Even though it was desperately weird to read.

Written in the first person from Ernst's viewpoint the narrative is very strong and you're led through an interesting story. It focuses a bit too much on the investor/external funding angle slightly to the detriment of possibly the more interesting story of the actual organisation, but this is to be expected as Ernst was obviously very busy on the investment side.

It's not the knife job that some people were predicting, the lawyers at Random House took a fair amount of that out. I'm impressed by both its balance and its honesty.

and hey, I get the last word. So it can't be all that bad.
