Theoretical physics is hard. Brian Greene doesn't make it easy -- in fact, large sections of this book are guaranteed to give headaches to those without at least an A-level. But his ability to guide the reader from gentle introductions into the abstruse world of superstrings and polydimensional space is unerring.
