Assumed role of "design manager", evolving both structural and visual design of site for launch in early November 97. Made Creative Director in April 1998, with responsibility of visual and user interface direction of all BBC News brand sites, including the BBC’s 1998 World Cup site (http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldcup)

BBC News Online was awarded the first Interactive BAFTA award for an online product in 1998.

In July 1996, Delphi Creative was bought out by a joint venture company formed by News International and British Telecom, and reorganised to become the creative power behind the launch of a web based online service leveraging the provision of content from NI and communications/internet provision from BT.

Promoted to Production manager, co-ordinating the development of the project over four design teams and a programming team (a total of 25 people), reporting to management and presenting to the board members of the JV from both parent companies.

Maintained a hands-on role in the design and prototyping of the overall look and feel of the new service, working in conjunction with the internal teams and as chief liaison with external corporate identity/design agency.

Joined original design and prototyping team for the creation of Internet Editions in July 1995.

Following two months of rapid prototyping for presentation to members of Times & Sunday Times editorial staff, moved to News International's Wapping HQ, for the design and implementation of the publishing system.

Duties included design and production of graphics, interface design, template design, liaison with programming staff over technical and code design, and presentation of prototypes to internal and third parties.
